Hi Guys,

I've got My ST170. I have tried a new battery in the fob but this has not solved the problem.

The central locking works when I use the key in the door and this also activates the alarm as it is a pain when I unlock and open the door, the alarm always sounds until I start the car.

Is there anyway I can get this fixed? If not, can I deactivate the alarm (not ideal) to stop waking the street up in the mornings?

Any help would be appreciated?

If the above doesn't work, (you get no chime when you press the remote fob) you can try disconnecting the GEM module connectors (under dash right hand side) and reconnect, then try the programming sequence again.

If it still doesn't work, chances are the remote is kaput. Other Ford remotes look the same but for instance Mondeo and Focus do not interchange, even though they look identical.

 

No luck with this as yet guys. Can I just check if the Focus has a 3 button remote or has mine possibly been swapped for a Mondeo one hence why it is not working?

Focus and Mondeo look the same, 3 buttons, rounded fob.
