Default ST170 ABS Light issue

Hi Guys

Recently changed a wheel bearing on my St170 and Euro Car Parts had given me the incorrect bearing so the ABS/Traction light can up.

I have got another bearing from them and fitted it today (I put the black ring (that was also magnetic) on the inside by where the sensor goes).

I took the car for a run up the street and now when you first start the car and pull away the lights go out but then soon as you get to about 20mph the lights come back on..

Do I need to take the car to a garage to get the code deleted or do I still have a problem as the lights should just stay off?

Thanks
Gavin

The light should go out, I had a similar issue on my mondildo, put a new sensor in and the light went out straight away.

This is the thing, the lights do go out and stay out until you go over 20mph which is the bit I don't understand.

Will have to get the car to somewhere that can plug it in and not charge me the earth for the privilage.

Wish the Fords had something like the VW's do with Vag-Com so I could do it myself...
