Anyone got pumaspeed throttle body on their ST170?
Hello, I've been well and truly bitten and am now set on a throttle body after I've done the exhaust. Was gonna do bluefin too but seems remap is needed after throttle body anyway so no point bluefinning it.
My mechanical knowledge, lets assume is 0 on any scale. I can do nut and bolt changes etc.
The throttle body on pumaspeed is 67mm. The standard ST170 one is 66mm. Is 1mm really going to make that much difference or is there more to it.

Basically, has anyone got the above one, and are you happy with it. Also, was it really a 30 minute job?
Anything else need changing or is it a straight swap?

Well, just spent Ł15ish on ebay for a standard throttle body, gonna give it some welly with sanding down the bump etc etc and see if it does make any difference. Figure worest case is I waste Ł15 ish.
Best case is I burn loads of calories sanding it down, and get a bit better response

Take me a long while to get me arse in gear to do anything.... made a start and figured I'd do the before shots when I take the standard one off the car. Is slow going as I'm doing it by hand not wanting to poke holes where there shouldn't be any.
Still wondering whether of not to try the bluefin.... I know DS is better but it's more money than I can afford and I'm not planning on doing anything more than the throttle body and exhaust since induction kits don;t seem popular for st170s.

I see the blufin on eBay from demon tweaks sent them a email about power gains and if they come with more than one setting and I got the reply
One setting with a maximum power gain of 10bhp... For Ł200 pretty dear. Rather just cut the cat open smash all the insides out and weld it back up.

Seems bog all difference, I didn't do it fully flat as was worried about sanding a hole in the throttle body and I'm not messing about with liquid metal.
Got the bluefin today though, am happy with it, is sharper in every gear.
