Default st170 fuel

I have had my Focus ST170 for many years
The problem i have is that eating petrol like drinking water
as been serviced every year
please give me some clues

probably a sensor fault, most probably lambda sensor as they like to eat these on a regular basis.

first thing to do though is get the ecu read for any faul codes.

Mine is returning on average 20mpg which is pants so i just purchased a new pre cat lambda. When a lambda gets sluggish your mpg suffers. Car runs sweet though and in 3 years i have never had an eml!
