Default st170 NEED HELP

hey guys, my focus is doing something out of the normal!!!!

basicly, when it starts up, and some times when i am driving, the hand barke light is not on, the car struggels alot!!! it hold back like its going to die, but when is comes on, everything is fine, and when it stays on will drive grate, my thoughts are that one of my calipers are seizing and needs time to "free" up, but when the light is off??

my fuel consumption is bad as well, got my fuel filter changed not that long ago but should i get my injectors reconditioned??

Any help of thought would be grate.

siezed callipers are easy enough to check by jacking the car up and spinning the wheels.

sounds an odd one to me though and would be worth geting the ecu read for fault codes

Fuel consumption is shit on them at the best of time mate i only get around 250 miles to tank and thats not driving it hard.
Sounds like a caliper sticking to me, as said above easy enough to check.

I had a similar problem. Turned out to be the hand brake cable sticking from time to time.

so what is it with the hand brake light cumming on when i am moving, shouldn't it be off?? is this a warning light letting me no i need to get it changed or whatever.

the funny thing is that when the light comes on, it fixes the problem and the car runs grate, i would have thought that the problem would happen if the light comes on.

seems silly i know but check your brake fluid level, it may be low causing the light to come on from time to time.

dragging brakes/etc could be unrelated to the light.

or does the st170 have low pad indicators??

My ST170 does not have low pad indicator. When my handbrake got stuck on it totally fried a set of green stuff rear pads and disks, after a drive touch the wheel near the brake disk, if they are dragging you will feel which one as the wheel will be warmer than the rest.
