morning guys and girlz
me and me m8 have 1.6 focus ones a 5dr and the other is a est and wanting to fit st170 engine in our cars,so we are on the hunt for two damaged st 170s see fitting the engines and running gear is a bit of piss and we will do all that standing on our heads,wot we are stuck on is the wiring side of things,i used to work in a breaker rippin cars apart,i know focus"s in side out but crap wiv wiring,so rippin the dash and thats out is easy,would we have to use the st petrol tank and how much of the wiring must be change i guess the whole st loom must be used,and tellin the insurance company aint a biggy,if ne 1 cxan shed some light on the wiring side of thing would be gr8))

To put it simply everything needs chaning, engine, interior loom, dash clocks, fuel pump, it is a HUGE parts swapping excercise and it would have been a million times easier if you had started with a 2.0L zetec. The general concensus is there is little point in bothering as its so involved.

thanks for the reply bud,we would have all 4 cars together,strip the engine out the 170s,wip the interiors and dashs out and go from there,i wouldnt bother but my focus os me alot of money already,its been part of my life for 6 years now and i dont have any plans to get rid of iti wanna buy a cheap derv for a few months and do the conv,as i dont have a nagging missus ne more ive got all the time in the wolrd,lmaro
