The mid range power is very good and the handling is out of this world!!

I just wondered if there were any ST170 owners out there who like me, are happy with their discreet racers?
Hell yeh, a nice setup. Nice power from about 3000 revs

normally when it flashes a certain amount of times it relates to maybe a broken wire or plug on seat belt pre tensioners or a clock spring on steering wheel etc

Hi Chippa, yes it is very quiet on here. I'm still not sure why the ST170 doesnt receive the love it deserves. I have just bought my second 3 door imperial blue ST170. 36k miles, one owner from new and with custom and comfort packs. it drives like it's brand new.

I love them.

Hi,

Picked up mine last week and love it so far. 5 door silver, 54 reg 96,000 miles. Installed aftermarket stereo and new ST170 rear badge to replace the faded one. Guy selling them on gumtree for Ł10 if you are after one! Next on to do list is sort out the front suspension and brakes. Feels okay but does vibrate a little under braking. Brembo discs and pads ordered and planning on new control arms, tie rods and ends and anti-roll bar links. Hopefully that should tighten things up. Ł200 for all parts (GSF with 60% off) and local garage installing for Ł200 so not to bad. Had Clio 172 in the last few years which this is often compared to. Focus way more flat through corners and much more refined at higher speeds. Clio definitely feels more powerful but it does weigh about 150kg-200kg less.

Default Not a new owner

Afternoon all
just joined although I have now owned my imperial blue 3 dr ST170 Full leather recaros for the best part of 7 years used most days Hasn’t cost me too much over the years so this year I have decided to replace shocks discs pads new steering rack to make the driving experience slightly better
needs some welding for the MOT this month
would like to tidy up the paint work and refurb the wheels For me it’s a keeper these lovely cars are now becoming harder to find in good condition
mines done 95,000 miles and deserves a little TLC
never going to be worth loads of money
but I love mine

broke 100s of these over the years and the steering rack is a weak point for sure and these dont age well as so many rusty examples around now, sadly their day of fame has passed
