Default Help needed......

I took my FRS to the garage due to the battery kept on running flat if only leaving it a couple of days. I had read about a couple of faults with the radio running the battery down etc so mentioned it to the ford people but they have no re-collection of this ever happening. Result? "You need a new battery sir". So after shelling out £100 for a new battery from them, less than two weeks later, I go out this morning and the battery is so flat that the alarm wont even turn off . I have phoned them back up and it is now going back into the dealer. Needless to say I have shelled out for a battery I haven't needed. Anybody any clues to what could be the fault??

The light did keep coming on until they changed the battery. Now there was no lights, as I said there wasnt even enough power to switch alarm off, and the car had sat 1.5 days.

Mate,

It was the radio. There is a fault with them. It is buttons number 1 and 6 that drain the battery.

I have been having the problem for a while, not the battery, not the alternator it was the PCM which controlls more or less everything that has a voltage which is near enough everything...
Getting mine replaced soon, was told chipping them can cause the PCM to fail over time..

Dave,

Maybe if you drove the car over 20mph it would give the battery a chance to charge up!!!
