As per topic, what are the best pads for fast road use?

There is a choice of two from the dealer .. Slow and Fast. Ferodo, last time I saw the drawings .. They aint cheap ; )

or you could go for the EBC red stuff pads

they sell for around £100 for the fronts and £50 for th rear

I would choose from the Ford ones (not just because I work for them!)
If they're good enough for Prodrive ......
A friendly parts lad will give you a discount on a stock order (if you dont mind waiting a few days)

The EBC dont seem to be that great with standard discs - after getting a ride in a friends FRS - he kept saying how the Ford OE part was much better.

mintex 1155 are a great fast road pad for the enthusiastic driver.

for best price call questmead on 01708860088, ask for alan brown and tell him chris astley from rallytech gave you his number.

I just had the standard set fitted from FORD - £155 if you want the fast road ones £270!!!!

The standard ones are more than capable!!

Go for the ferrodo dsrange as they are far superior to most other pads. the difference in biting is amazing compared to the normal pads! and no fade at all!

i use ebc reds never had much problem with them although i am running red dot discs now.

I use Ferrodo DS2500's, fantastic on road, far better than standard, still undecided if they're upto the track though.

not had them on long but would say they are better.got no brake squeal either now.

Are these fitted to an RS or other Foci?????

If RS where did you purchase - can't get aftermarket Disc's anywhere for an RS!! - not advertised in any mag!!

they are grooved mate.got them from pumaspeed when they did offer on discs plus pads.took the red dot pads off after a while they were just too dirty so i reverted back to the ebc reds lot better and cleaner.

just checked it was pumabuild not pumaspeed that supplied the brakes.
