Hello,

I was thinking to sell my RS, and within the last 2 weeks it began to smoke then resulted in a loss of compression damaging a piston.

I was just wondering how much it would be worth as it is currently not working or it would be worth fixing before selling?

Blue, All black seats, 2010, 64k miles and no Lux Kits

It’s probably not worth a lot in parts. Try getting in touch with a decent garage for a chat. There’s a forged engine on eBay right now , devil development do a lot of these also jamsport.
If it was me, I’d rebuild it.

Just looked around and there’s a company called BD Performance in Wrexham that rebuild the engine with block mod for £2k. That includes removal and refit with fluids.

 

They ain’t going to be doing much for that lol.

It won’t be worth a lot as you would have to take the cost off of the engine build.

I did think that Mark but wanted to give him some options. I’m guessing it’ll just be a block mod at that price.

 

 

I’d reckon on a surcharge for the damaged engine but at least you’ll be back on the road

there was a couple of Rs's being broke on facebook sure one had a 64'000 odd mile engine
