Hello can anyone tell me what to look out for if i was to buy a high mileage mk2 focus rs cheers

 

apart from the obvious spot checks with these cars, HPI it and history is key, and drive it listening for diff or driveshaft issues making sure turbo is ok with no smoke and of course condition as a very easy car to modify good or badly, best advice is to take someone with you that actually knows these cars even if you have to pay them, high mileage does effect its value on RS models

 

If it been modified, I would check everything

 

It's supposed to be standard, full history and hpi clear done 120k miles

 

Would have had a clutch change at that mileage I would have thought & would be due a cam-belt change, check for proof of both. The belt is 10 years or 125,000 miles, whatever comes first.
