Default overboost problem

hey people.
i have a fault on my focus rs mk1,with bluefin "chip"
the car runs perfectly...but ive had the mil warning light pop up..and the car goes into limp mode
and ive read the fault codes..and it was related to the oxygen senor not sensing difference before and after the "cat" which isnt there..
so i got the mil exterminator..from pumaspeed

got it mounted today..and luckily, the mil warning light stays off.

buuut...when hitting high boost....peaking...when letting of the throttle..and trying to floor it,,it seems like its gone into limp mode again...but no mil warning light

connected the bluefin..read the fault codes..and it says "p 0234" which is "engine overboost condition"

so now my question....anyone experienced this..and why does it do this..when its on bluefin setting...i though it was supposed to be able to run the high boost without throwing a fault code

suggestions please

Are you running direct or through amal valve?

im running all standard setup,,with the amal valve..
but i read quite abit on the subject last night after i posted this...and it seems there is no cure for this problem

even having a seperate boost controller will not help..and i really dont wanna do anything "non standard" to the engine electrics...so if this problems means that i have to uninstall bluefin ...i will...if i can do it...cause i think there might be some issues with my bluefin aswell....its an old version it seems...and i think i tried at one point to uninstall and install bluefin...but werent able to because of some "error" when i tried to "complete" the uninstall or install "bit"

how much boost are you running?
bluefin should peak around 18/19 and hold 16 im sure.
option could be to run it direct which would still bring the overboost code up but wont go into limp mode. leave the electrical connection connected on the amal valve or better option is boost controller

hey mate

im not sure how much boost it runs...as the standard boost gauge is not exactly easy to read ...but it peaks at the "red" mark on the boost gauge..and then falls back down abit..usually i am to busy holding on to the steering wheel when that happens"laughs"..so

but..anyways..can i ask..what do you mean by "run it direct"...?

aand....thank you jambo for helping out

Send your bluefin away to get reset as it could be a fault with that map cause I had this problem with dreamscience with over boost so I ran it direct and no issue after that

direct is when you join the hose straight from actuator to compressor but leave the plug attached to amal valve or it will put the management light on. i wouldnt be doing that without means to measure boost pressure though.
get a forge actuator, blue spring and get 22psi rammed down its throat.

thank you for the advice

ill just let it be like this for a while i think..i really dont wanna mess around with other actuators..and non standard stuff.
maybe i could turn down the boost abit on the actuator itself?

cause it doesnt seem that it always hits the limp mode..just occasionally..
