Question Power steering pressure sensor

Right i replaced my power steering pump on my 2.0 zetec (cunt of a job), turned it over with the injectors and distributor disconnected to flush the system, it pissed psf all over my garage floor, found the leak from where a pressure sensor was on my old pump fitted the sensor to the new one, problem the old one was never connected to any harness should it be? should i just forget about it?

Not really it's not there for no good reason! That reason is so when the power steering loads up the engine (During parking maneuvers etc) the idle speed is raised and so the engine won't stall, there should be a wiring connector for it, have you looked around?
