Default Lambda and O2 Sensor Question!

Hey, it was my understanding that they are the same thing, but when looking for a decat manifold i came across one that said it had 2 holes cut for the Lambda and O2 sensors.

Its a Mk1 focus, so is there more than one, and where are they located, or is there just one, and where is it?

Thanks

some systems use two sensors to measure the cat efficeintcy, not sure if your car has this system. but lambda and o2 sensors are the same thing mate

As said some have two they are usually referred to as pre and post cat, and I seem to remember the Focus does have two.

A 02 sensor is just that it measures 02, or rather oxygen content in the exhaust gasses, this sensor is usually termed lambda sensor by most but 02 sensor is more correct.
Lambda is signal(voltage) that it generates, a certain voltage is a certain lambda value, lambda 1 is the chemically correct ratio, called stoichiometric roughly 14.7:1, 14.7 parts of air to 1 part fuel, the ratio is actually a tad under but 14.7:1 good enough, 0.8 0.9 etc are comparisons to the chemically correct ratio.
