Car Vibrates when doing over 70mph

Default Car Vibrates when doing over 70mph

Got new brake discs and pads fitted at the weekend but since I have had the car back when going over 70mph the car starts to 'shake' pretty badly.
Is this because the wheels need tightning up perhaps it wasn't doing it before and the wheel weights are all in tact?

could be debris between the wheel and hub mate causing the wheel/s to not sit flat.

wip em off and clean them up, put a smear of grease on the hub/disc where the wheel sits and refit the wheels.

then see if it still does it.

you not hit any pot holes have you?
did anyone test drive it after fitting the brakes??

Try the above but my first instincts say warped discs.

oh, would be worth wipping the discs off too and checking theres no debris behind them.

Its possible that the old disks where 'faulty' and the wheel wieghts are set up to compensate for the old fault???

not sure how they would do that as wheels are ballanced off the car and whenever the wheel is removed they'd have to put it on in exactly the same orientation.

haha i know that feeling.

can be typing something out for a uni assignment and it makes sense to me when i re-read it but i know its bollox and no-one else will ever understand it

I've had a set of EBC discs that were completely manufactured wrong... on the outside they looked normal but looking at the venting holes along the perimeter, you could see one side of the disc was clearly thicker than the other. Then rotate the disc 180 degs and it was the opposite! That will put a nice big vibration on your car...

The O/S driveshaft has a bearing bolted to the back of the subframe. These always wear out and can cause vibration. I would get the wheel balance checked first though!

take the wheels of and re fit them, make sure the area is clean and clear.. if car shakes or vibrates when you drive.. ie power on.. then its most likely going to be your tracking is out.. one wheel is pulling on the over... iver one is toeing in or out.. 70mph is about wright for this.. i bet you it your tracking... get it check out at any tyre place. its only an £15 sheet.

some garages will put your tracking out on perpose when they fit wheels tyres ot brakes.. this so you come back with the problem and spend more money... its sly.. but be careful it does happen.

Oh and if the car only shakes when you brake then its your disc. there warrped.. my spelling is shit sorry lol
