Angry focus -Heater Stopped

Foucs T reg 1999 1.8

Heater Stopped working completely No power at any numbers.
A/C Light still coming on when you press it.

Sounds coming from heater motor when you turn heat direction switch.

I have taken off the resistor pack and all looks ok, is their any tests I can do on it?

Does this sound likee it is a resistor fault or somthing elese?

when I took the resistor back out of glove box I knocked it agains the metel under the glove box and a spark shot off it then the motor started to blow cold air.
I moved the resistor away from the metal and the motor stopped blowing.

The resistor pack and switch are on the ground side of the blower motor circuit.

Touching the resistor pack against metal will provide a ground for the current needed by the blower motor.

Have you checked the switch itself? They are know to fail so a ground is not available for the motor. Hence no running at any position, unlike the resistor pack (thermal fuse failure) 1-3 not running.
