Default St170 Cat help needed

Hi guys,

I'm a relatively new user on here, but been a long time lurker.

Got a bit of a issue. I bought my St in november, only to find out it was decated a couple of months later.

Now I need a Cat for its MOT, this is causing me no end of issues. I simply cant find one second hand, and cant afford the £1000 that ford charge for a new one.

I found one about a month ago, but the issue is some pleb has cut the flange off one side so this is what I'm left with:

Its the manifold side btw

Do you guys reckon its possible to weld a new flange onto that side, if so any recommendations in/around west yorkshire?

Have you had the emissions tested? Chances are it might still be within limits anyway. Modern engines run so clean so its got to be worth a try. It won't fail for not having a cat, just might fail if the emissions are outside of limits!
