Default Focus Wheel Bearing

hi there i reciently bought new back brakes,wheel bearings and drums for my focus 1999 1.8 zetec.i took the old ones off the other day and there was two like rubber rings left on the shaft at the very back and when i took off the brum the bearing split in 2 so i couldnt tell if these parts where inside the bearing or not or do i put them back on when i replace the drums bearings and brakes?doesnt say nything bout rubber circles in the haynes manual so thats why im thinkin they came from inside the baring housing ny 1 know??

normally a grease seal mate they gotta cover the back of the bearing so you don't contaminate the brake shoes
