Default Focus Zetec 1.6 cold start problems

Car failing to start every morning - but starts very very easily when jump leads are used. Also starts fine when warm. Car is being used every day and battery is only a year old. Is there anything that can be draining battery overnight - have already checked boot light and glove compartment lights are going out ok.Looking for some help.

dont no about the boot light.what about the interior light.id get a mutimeter on the battery when the car is running and see what the battery is putting.you can get duff batterys .any where from 12 volts over is good.you can aslo get a meter from maplins it checks your alternator as well

I was having dreadful problems with my year old battery. until I replaced it with fords silver cadmium from the dealer. Check the type of battery you have , it does state in the hand book only silver cadmium should be used . hope this helps
