focus wheel arch rust need help
hi there i have a ford focus 1.8 zetec 1999 in pantherblack and stupidly i used the pressurewasher up close on the arch where there was some rust bubbles and its gone to bare metal and started rustingare these the right steps to do ??
wait till the outside temp picked up a bit first
take the rust off with fine wet emry cloth
use some sort of rust stop liquid??
paint on some grey primer
paint on some patherblack touch up paint?
is it better to paint on the primer or spray it on and then use the touch up paint??
thanks

Go to your Ford garage and they might repair it for you under warrenty. It may be out of the paint warrenty but not sure, cant remember if its 6, 8 or 12 years.
My 1st Focus, also a 1999 T, had rust under the rear doors & boot where it was sealed. Ford repaired that under warrenty as it was a common problem with them. That was about 3 or 4 years ago.
They also go underneath the wing mirrors and on the boot if you have a chrome boot strip.
