Default brake upgrade

whats the nxt brake upgrade from the 260mm set up.the st170 callipers are expensive but i also wondered if the was a conversion brackets of some sort to allow use of the std calliper but to fit larger discs

st170 calipers are cheap, knucles/hubs are the problem

on the standard foci the pad carriers are cast into the hub so you physically cant go any bigger!!! if you dont want huge expense then get uprated pads and disks and leave it at that.

or

if you really want bigger like me...get st170 hubs and callipers. most of the time i see them go for about Ł250 although i was lucky and got a set the other day with worn disks and pads for Ł100....frigin steel!!

though obviously there s more work in fitting them and the disks and pads cost more.

oh and the min wheel size you will need is 16"

I was watching that set on ebay too, was tempted to bid myself when they were still at Ł50 and i've already done the brake conversion!

ive yet to look at my brakes, but was thinking about st170 stuff, is it rely that much of a problem i mean ppl fit them to ersts and fiestas no problem,

it's not a problem to fit them, it's a problem to find them cheap

or if you feel insane mate get st knuckles n hubs, get sum focus rs brembos and sum brackets n do them. Ive managed to squeeze them on under 17in st170 alloys

don't you have to change master cylinder with brembos?
