Central Locking not working
FORD FOCUS 1.6LX T REG
THE KEY FOB WILL NOT OPEN THE DOORS OR BOOT
THE KEY IN EITHER DOOR WILL OPERATE THE CENTRAL LOCKING
Ive tried switching the ignition 4 times in under 6 seconds, I hear the "bong" noise but the red led light above the clock does not stay lit, it keeps flashing. Ive pressed all the buttons on the remote but i dont hear the "bong" noise again.
Ive removed the 20amp fuse at the back of the fuse box and replaced it. Ive replaced the battery 3 times in the key fob. Ive spent over 3 hours on 3 seperate days trying to repair this fault. I think the problem may lie with the red light.
ANY HELP WOULD BE GRATEFULLY RECIEVED!!!!
Cheers.

Our central lockings buggered up too. Weve replaced the selonoid on the passenger has that was gone and now it seems to lock but the passenger and rear doors still wont open.Cant even open it maunually due to child locks. The drivers side and the boot has had no problems at all.Any how this is what we are going to try next as weve ben told it may be due to the module. Thats gonna cost us 80 quid just to diagnost it wish i never had central locking
Central Locking Test Function:
1. Open any door, keys out of ignition
2. Press the switch in the door frame part of the lock (the one that controls the interior light etc.) 6 times within 4 seconds THIS IS THE SMALL BLACK BOX NEXT TO THE METAL BAR ON THE CAR FRAME WHICH THE DOOR LATCH ATTACHS TO WHEN THE DOOR IS SHUT
The result is a car that (until left alone for a minute) will flash both indicator lights each time any door or the boot is opened and it should also flash if you press any key on the remote.
If this doesnt happen with all doors, it could be a faulty switch or loom.
If it doesnt happen with the remote, it could be a faulty remote.
This function also reboots the central locking module, so it could cure the problem

There is nothing wrong with the central locking, the key just needs programming to the RCL module.
To do this:
1/ Turn the ignition from position I and Position II (dash lights on) 4 times within 6 seconds, returning it to Position I (not OFF)
2/ Within 10 seconds, press and hold one of the remote keys until you hear a beep.
3/ Once all keys are programmed, start the car or wait 15 seconds.

Thanks for the reply, but it didn't work.
I think the red led light above the clock is where the problem lies.
When I've switched the ignition from position I and Position II 4 times the red light should stay illuminated, this isnt happening, it keeps flashing away, thats why i think its something to do with the light.
Any idea????
Thanks for your help.
