Default MTX-75??

Is the escort rs 2000 and focus rs boxes the same,i mean the bellhousing.i have a box from escort rs and friend of mine is searching a gearbox for his focus,so i'm wondering,can this fit to a focus???

i know that the rs box fits to a zetec engine no probs but check the driveshafts first

i know that too,the question is-are the escort mounts the same as those of the focus?

as far is i am aware all the mtx75 are the same as the rs one as its just an mtx with quaife diiff in

there are slight differences due to the fact the focus has a hydraulic clutch- i don't know if this effects the mounts, it may well do.

casings completely diff, mounting points completely diff!

rs2000 one rod linkage and focus RS cable linkage

rs2000 cable clutch and focus RS is a hydrolic one!

so basically no no chance of it working without alot of work!

and mondeo mtx-75 are again different from focus too

The bolt pattern of the bellhousing/engine is always the same, but starter location can differ.

Remember also that the bellhousing is integral with the front of the gearbox, so its not a straight swap.
