Hi I'm newby here so be gently. I have a rally spec Fiesta mk3 1,6 cvh with RST Escort gearbox @ the moment.
Is it possible to mount MTX-75 gearbox to CVH engine and what I need to change along with it? Bellhousing seems to be bolt-on, but how about drive shafts, clutch/flywheel and such?
Reason for this is simple, i've been offered a fairly priced MTX-75 dog box from Esc RS2k rally car, which would be so much better for my use.

hi there mate i got mk 5 escort that i have put the fiesta rs turbo engine in the efi one i have got the mtx75 box out of 130bhp xr3i zetec. i got that all on the engine but it seems to over fuleing and i dont know if this is down to the crank sensor as you have to use the zetec fly wheel and the bolt holes for the fly wheel are bigger than the cvh ones so you got a little more movement so you have to set it up with were you old one sits.

I have just converted my CVH powered Westfield SE from Carburettor to EFI, due to strict German environmental laws. Basically I have taken the complete engine, loom and control system from a donor XR2i car. Everything is now installed into position and the engine is running, however it is also running very rich (CO2 = 2.3%) with all sensors connected. The only sensor/component that is is not from the donor car is the fly wheel as the westfield is RWD. Incidentally i had to fettle the sensor in order to reduce the clearance between the fly wheel and sensor to approx 1 mm.
Do you beleive an incorrecty mated / Gapped flywheel and sensor would make the engine run rich?
Any advice would be welcomed
Cheers

Mozwang, thanks for the input. Ive used the original loom and EEC so I'm not expecting it to be a wiring configuration issue. Ive got the car booked with the local ford specialist who still has the old Star Tester. I'll keep you posted on the results.
