Default focus 1.6 zetec

has anyone ever tryed tuning there focus with the zetec engine in.ive got the zetec with the exhaust manifold on the back i think its called the yamaha engine.

nice i was thinking of induction kit and nice exhaust system to start with a comp manifold.i like the focus very much .its a five dr in silver but wouldnt mind making it look like the st170 with some bark as well

i wonder if ashly do a 4 branch manifold and exhaust system for the focus.i no you can get blue fin for it.and ive also heard you can get an uprated throttlebody for the engine.

i have one of those engines and now run a straight through exhaust with no cat and one off engine management and 42mm throttle bodies,

its a nice engine and mines done 130 000 with no probs yet.

i hae the se aswel but most people dont bother tunuing them where did u get the tb's from and how much did they cost to do? cheers

mine had a bluefin piper 4 branch manifold and k&n panel filter i never did anymore

the bodies themselves were 67 quid off ebay for a set of handa blackbird ones

then made my own inlet manifold

and made up my own engine loom with a megasquirt engine management system and bolted it on and then started mapping it

in total cost me just shy of 500 quid but 350 of that was the engine management.

dont know tbh as its never been on the rollers but will be in march with ffoc.co.uk and also with fordtorque.co.uk too so i'll be able to tell you then,

i'd say about 30bhp with the rest of it all standard just did it for fun really for sumthing differant etc i'll let you know the full gains when i get bk from the rollers

i never got it rr'd mate if im honest.
form a personal point of view it revved much more freely and was alot more responsive so worth the money for that imo
