Focus HID self levelling?

Focus HID self levelling?
Hi, earlier this year I bought an ST170, it came with the factory HID headlights. A question I have is... can you see/tell when/if the self levelling system is doing anything?
I know a couple of people with other makes of cars and their self levelling HIDs do this massive vertical sweep in front of the car when they switch the lights on, mine do absolutely nothing. Just wondering if it's noticeable or not on the Focus.
Thanks, Jon.

Hi Jon, no it isn't noticeable, there is a load sensor on the back axle so the car knows how much weight is in the back, then when you switch the lights on it adjusts them slightly. But as for the large verticle sweep, no it doesn't do that.

Ah thanks mate! I was wondering if they were broken or something!
I did have to get into the right hand side light as the lens unit had come off the ball joint of the levelling motor, allowing the light to bounce up and flicker annoyingly when driving along. Not a lot of room in there to fiddle!
