Default Focus Clocks

Hi all

Over the last few weeks I have noticed that when I turn on the ignition on my focus 1.8 zetec the needles all go to maximum for a few seconds and then go back to normal, I have been told this happens if the battery has been disconected but I have not disconected and took it out tonight it did it when I first turned on and I drove to the petrol station (about 2 mile drive) filled up turned ignition on & it did it again. Is this a common problem or is something about to break??

Any advice much appreciated

Simon

IIRC it shows your battery is on its way out

Simon,

The cluster will only sweep it's gauges if it has either had the Battery disconnected or has detected a low voltage condition. As Al says, looks like your battery is on it's last legs.
