remember reading something a long time ago about the frs having paint issues on the rear panels i think? can anyone shed any light or is it a load of shite?

Definitely not a load of shite. If you use the search box you'll find all the posts revelevant.

The FRS has dreadfully thin paintwork from the factory. Hence lots of people have had their front-ends painted on a car 3-4 years old.

 

A lot of FRS's had their rear quarters resprayed on their arrival into the UK from Germany!

 

Honestly?

Mine's chipped like a bastard but a bit of paste and a light polish brings them back up again!

 

thats what i'd read, whats the reasoning behind it?

 

P155 poor factory paint finish!

 

I had my FRS painted a few weeks back, been up to Scotland and back a few times and guess what... no stone chips. Goes to show that the paint finish from new is crap.

Get it painted by a decent painter and that's how the car should be!!!

 

i got my focus around 2 months ago it had 2 stonechips on it and guess what theres at least 20 now the paint on the focus is a total joke just as well my dad is a paint sprayer eh
