ESP stands for "electronic stability program". The system continuously checks to make sure the movement of the car is matches the driver’s input, using seven different vehicle sensors and two independent microprocessors. If it detects any sign of deviation, it intervenes to restore stability.

I am not sure how to tell if your car has it though, I haven't seen one that has it.

Am fairly sure the ST has this as standard. If there's no button inside then its not switchable

ESP was an option on the ST170. But TCS is standard, if you press the off button on the central console near the handbrake then you will get an 1 or 2 orange lights come up on the dash. If you have ESP then you will get the picture of a car skipping, the TCS one is a picture of a wheel throwing out dirt.
