just fitted a racing manifold to my focus never heard one before are they meant to sound so ruff and when aye stop the revs die down like its goin to cut out dont know wats wrong
Any pictures? What's the spec of the engine you've built, as its a zetec turbo I'm guessing?
There should be a deeper sound as you've opened up the exhaust passage a lot more than standard. So think of it as if you've just made one whole exhaust without any baffles....
Try dissconnecting the battery, leaving for a while, then reconnect and allow the ECU to relearn all of the parts it has fitted to the engine. Same principal as the Focus RS really...

That could be the idle control valve causing the revs to flutter around, but then if you have the fan on in the car and the position is set to demist the windscreen that also turns on the other fan on the radiator which makes the lights flicker and the revs to fluctuate.
what other mods have you got?
has it been chipped or remapped before?
