thinking of upgrading the speakers on my mk1 ghia, what size are they? also any mods to get bigger ones in there? needs to look standard from inside the car, was thinking of keeping the standard headunit, will I notice an improvement if I do just the speakers? any good makes to look out for?

standard size speakers are 5x7 matey....you will probly be able to get a decent set aftermarket in that size or you can get adaptor plates to fit 5" round ones if you prefer!!!

i managed to fit 6x9s in my front doors but there is only 2mm clearance when the window is down so only some 6x9s will fit
