1.8 TDDI remap
I own a 2001 Ford Focus Estate 1.8 TDDI (note it's not a TDCI!). I like the car, it was cheap to buy, pretty cheap to run, good to drive and practical. However I do find the lack of power frustrating at times. I recently went on holiday with some of the family and had 3 passengers plus luggage in the car and although it coped it was hard work at times.
I have been looking at getting an engine remap. However I don't want to spend a fortune as I may change the car next year anyway. My questions are, is it really worth it? (bear in mind the car currently only has 88bhp) Also does anyone have any recommendations on who to go with? Like I said I don't want to spend a fortune but obviously want good results at the same time. I'm based in Ilkeston Derbyshire, so any none mobile places in Nottingham and Derby would be considered.
Thanks in advance!

Two words; Hell yes!
It'll give it that much needed power up to around 120bhp. I've got a bluefin remap and it transformed the car, much better pick-up. whislt its not going to turn it into some fire breathing monster its certainly worth it.
Prices vary but basing it on the bluefin that's £400

I've had to revet back to standard map as i've swapped the engine for a younger black and i do miss its power it had.
Well, lets just say it can easily keep up with the mk1 1.8 TDCi all the way up to top speed.
