Default Focus MK1 VSS question

Hi, hopefully someone can help me. I need to know the voltage of the signal that comes out of the VSS. Know its powered by 12v on pin 3 and ground on pin 1. But it's the signal voltage out that goes to the ecu I need. I'm guessing it's 0v to 5v ish. But I want to be sure it's not 0 to 12v.

Many thanks

Pin Data shows a square wave of either 0v or 11~14v with 20Hz @ 10mph increasing with speed.

Thanks Warren for the reply. I've been messing about on a side project, but suspected an old sensor I have was lieing to me.
