Front wheel bearings
Ive got a mk2 Focus hatchback 06 plate and I'm pretty sure the front left bearing is knackered cos I get a constant droning sound that gets worse at speed. It also makes it feel quite twitchy and almost abit wobbly when its windy out, more than usual anyway.
Ive seen on eBay that you can buy a complete hub kit with the bearings already pressed in for the same price as the bearings alone.

Has anyone had any experience with these kits?
I was going to do the front at the same time so they wear evenly (hopefully.. shitty roads in essex..)
Cheers guys
*meant to add, does it make a different with ABS? Regards the sensor etc? Will I need a certain hub for example?

Don't buy cheap bearings! I made this mistake once, they don't last long compared to better quality ones. Although if you can buy them already pressed into the hub then they could be worth a punt.
I am not too sure about weather ABS ones are different, on some Fords the ABS pickup is in the bearing itself, so I am not too sure, something you will need to look into first. Have a look on euro car parts website, they are pretty good for prices and sell quality stuff.

I just had a quick look at Euro car parts, for the same, albeit probably better quality kit its £81.60 each which I cant afford atm. Big difference from £29 posted each on eBay..
I also noticed it says Active Sensor Bearing. I pressume thats the ABS?
Cheers!

Euro car parts are shit for bearings fella buy SKF or gen etc, if the car has ABS there will be a black magnet on the bearing face which has to be on the side of the sensor hope you understand what i mean
Yeah, take it you mean the magnet faces/makes contact to a sensor or something?
no they dont make a contact, the sensor counts tiny little teath hidden under the black you see on the bearing mate unless you have a press etc get it done at a garage ! not worth messing about, if you damage the ABS sensor etc you are wasting cash thats why we buy loads of tools to keep jobs simple
