GEM replacement
FORD FOCUS 2002 ZETEC Problems- key fob not working, no rear de-mister, no central locking, no chime noises, no indicators, no hazard lights inside or on dash, no interior light, no dash light for sidelights or headlights, and finally no boot catch operating. All the fuses have been checked, bulbs and earth checked. The battery keeps going flat overnight. Replaced key fob battery but no change. Disconnected GEM and left but no change. I no noises at all. So have ordered another GEM but I would like to know if I change it does it need reprogramming by ford and do they have to fit it? Thanks

this what the later gems features are
Auto Lock (when driving the doors lock at around 6mph)
Re auto lock ( when any of the doors are open will re lock at around 6mph without turning off the ignition)
Double lock with single press of the fob
Single press boot release
Indicators flash on unlock
Reverse warning chime (when selecting reverse )
enable heated front screen
enable siren (if alarm fitted)
Lane change (indicator flashes 4 times)
To enable some of them you must have the later gem 3S7T 15K600 MC
this is used for mondeo & focus

Sorry for bringing this thread up again but I'm I right in thinking if I get a mk3 mondeo gem module (3S7T 15K600 MC) with all the upgraded features on it I can plug it into my focus mk1 focus Rs & all I'll have to do is programme my locking remotes & I'll be away with 3 flash indicators etc??

Iv just fitted the gem to my st all seems to be working apart from the alarm the hazards go off but mo sound🤔
Any advice will be much appreciated
