Question Very Strange Issue?!

First let me say Hey People!

Have registered to this site as seems pretty helpful and friendly.

Sooooo.... Recently purchases 2.0 Focus ESP 2003 in black. 60k. Had it for few months now, so knew it was a matter of time until something started to go wrong as it's kind of a given with cars nowadays.

So il start with a description of what exactly happened. Basically when I turn my radio up loud it cuts out. Not sure if its related to me playing it loudly or just totally random. Anyway, it starts to turn on and off, a random amount of times, then it will either come back and stay on or off. But it gets more random, at the same time, the interior and exterior lights will start to flash on and off, or at least dim and flicker, add to that the ESP and ABS lights coming on the dash, again at random times, may be once or 8 times. Then add to that, stuttering of the engine and loss of power.

Now the loss of power and stuttering only happened once, I pulled over straight away, turned engine off, had a quick check of everything and just re-started (not happened again since).

Can anyone shed any light on this strange issue?

Many thanks

Ben

Yep everything tight and proper. Even if the battery came disconnected would that cause these issues? What actually happens if your driving and the battery disconnects?

I recently did take the whole air box out to have a look at how easy it would be to put in a K&N or similar. Have I perhaps knocked something loose? Thanks for that, will take out again today and re-check everything.

They're bolted on with 10mm bolts, they get corroded.
