First question. Why? I presume you mean mk2 to the new mk3?

They are totally different cars, wouldn't even be close to fitting.

I mean say an 06 shape to the facelift 08 shape.

Reason being is im looking at a salvage car, cant afford the facelift, but think it looks miles better

As said above it will be MK2 and MK3, but then there was also a MK2 facelift which has different lights again. There is no MK4 yet (Avaliable to the general public at least)

As said they are completly different in the same way a MK2 is, in comparison to a MK1.

05-08 is MK2, 08-10 is MK2 facelift isn't it? The new one is the MK3...

It's probably possible, but a lot of work, as the bonnet, bumper, front wings, doors, rear quarters etc etc are all different. Probably be just as well to buy a facelift by the time you've done all that!

The cost of repairing a salvage pre facelift and turning it into a facelift at the same time will more than likely cost more in the long run than just buying a facelift. Plus if it's salvage it will probably be on the register, so will never be worth as much as one that hasn't been accident damaged.

Just looked at the two, and every panel is different apart from the roof. Fook me you could buy a brand new focus by the time you've done all that!

Well, if you were to enjoy doing it, there's no harm, but it probably doesn't make financial sense.

Though, that said, modifying cars rarely does!
