Anyone know how to modify one of these to work in a standard Focus? i.e. to get the backlights to work without the oil guages fitted? Cheers.

ive recently purchased an st170 registered as 1.4 its had full st conversion. i purchased it with a blown head gasket. i replaced the head gasket and cams as i found one cracked, the vehicle would not start. after messing around with the dash to get the dials to work i found that if i leave the oil pressure/temp gauge multiplug off it starts first time. I then found none of my dials work i was told this when i bought it but he said there was a simple procedure of changing a few wires around. i cannot find my way around it has anyone had the same problem... thanks
