Morning all

I've copied and pasted this from my post over on ZSOC but have not got any answers yet and was wondering if anyone had any ideas over here.

It may be nothing but just for peace of mind.

Been working on the fiesta recently and i think i may have possible engine problems. The cars induction noise has always been loud, even with the standard air filter box on but having driven and listened to another members car, i now have some doubts.

I recently fitted a k&n cone filter and the car note very raspy and from low revs, say in second gear, had a burble like a Subaru... I know how the saying goes that if your car sounds like a scooby but doesn't go like one, you've got issues.

We tried the k&n on the other zetec s and the engine note is totally different. Another thing i have noticed that when giving my car a blast, it reaches 5k-5.5k revs and starts to struggle and drop of where the other revs right freely with no issues. The engine on idle is also quieter on the other car.
