thats the bit the does not sound right the bloke has all the pictures of the restore but he only wants 4k

 

If I remember right, you didnt look at a car last time becuase you thought it was too cheap! lol

There may be a genuine reason and a chance for you to grab yourself a bargain, or let it pass because the price is too low hehehe

I understand where your coming from, and realise that you may have a wated journey on your hands if it does turn out to be a dog, but surely if all the photo's and what the guy has told you seems to be in shape it is worth a visit to check it out with your own eyes?

At least you can say you went to look at it and it wasnt what it cracked up to be, rather than saying "yeah, I didnt buy it cos it didnt cost enough" lol

I know what you mean thinking they seem to cheap. Ive got pretty much got Ł4500 fo a series 1 bought a dog before now and pretty terrified in getting another coz want it to be perfect.
If you know someone who knows what they re doing take them otherwise pay for an rac inspection. Dont know about you but 4k is alot of money to me good luck mate

the bloke had two he sold the other one for 2800

 

also another downside is the car has had 13 owners how would you look at that
the bloke who has it now has had it a year and done the work to it

 

If the car is as good as it looks in the pictures then owners do not come into it, after all its 20 odd years old now

 

I would think it should be a little more but you never know. depends on mileage interior etc.
Ive been looking at this one and he wants Ł4100 for it, I thought it would go for more than that with all the mods and it looks well clean

I agree with T28, you are looking at a 20 year old car dont forget. I know in an ideal world it would be a 1 owner car etc... etc... but unfortunately we dont live in an ideal world. I would get yourself down there and have a good look over it, just so you have actually seen it, and take it from there.

At the end of the day, it's your hard earned cash, so you do what you want and buy the right car for you.
