its a clear sparking plug that shows you the colour of the bang in your cylinder,hence being able to lean off or rich up your fueling to give the optimum mixture! 35 quid so not cheap.
you actually see inside your sparking plug ,ie bunsen blue is the right flame colour.and a stethescope is provided for hard to reach plugs.
3 sizes available 10,12 and 14mm spark plug sizes.

no not while driving,just for setting up basic like,
sposed the idea is if its ticking over at a certain revs and the colours correct,then it will be ok through the rev range

What about when it comes on boost, there is normally alot more air going into the engine then.... Sounds pants to me mate. If it's just for idle, what's wrong with a CO machine?

these things have been around since my dad was a boy, and were useful for setting the idle mixture back in them days, and checking things are ok as you blip the throttle.
they can only be used at idle and a bit of blipping while stationary, otherwise they melt.
nowadays your mixture under those conditions is generally controlled by closed loop feedback, so they are no use.
what you want is a thing called an LM-1 wide band lambda reader from innovate motorsports - look it up on the web, there are a few people importing them to UK. cost about 300 notes but you wouldn't want to be caught not owning one.....

Very few of us run closed loop mate
in fact i guess i could use one to set the mixture on each pot at idle correctly. but i'm happy enough twiddling the screwdriver until it runs right.
