Default Bro's S2 back fires when turned off

Hello everyone quick question, my bro's s2 turbo back fires when you turn it off what could it be, we know its not the timing as thats just been done, its also a pain to start

Any ideas

Mine does it mate he needs to let cool down a bit longer before turnig the car off, was on here that it would`nt do any harm or damage

my engine is nearly run in and it does it, i asked about this a few month back and was told it was ok, a few of the lads cars do it off here

mines done this.doesnt matter how long you leave it.think its overfueling and when u switch off its a wee bit o fuel backfiring.know what a mean.is the exhaust pretty sooty.

mine do it but thought it were timing as it need setting up but my exhaust is pretty black so look like its over fueling a little i can leave it 5 mins and turn off and it still do it ..... funny whan people walk past back of your car or when u pull up at petrol station

Most KE injectors weep a little. If the CO is turned up a lot, the metering flap is slightly depressed, and it will dribble fuel in once it's turned off, and this will ignite a few seconds after switch off. You also get restarting problems as it's flooded.

nice cheers peole, would lecky injectors cause the bad starting? also are they easy to buy new

my S2 does it sometimes, mainly when i pull into a petrol station and dont let it cool down for a bit. i noticed it only does it when its very cold...but thats probably just a coincidence

Mine did it before and after i had me new engine put in!! Don't do any harm from what i've bin told, is only after i've bin canin it and not lettin cool down enough tho!

heat wrapping the turbo and manifold would hold more heat in the exaust and cause any left over fuel to ignite easyer.
mine has done it before after a gentle 5min run, did have shit plugs and a miss fire tho?

Just let it cool down after a caining, by this I mean drive sensibly before you pull up at your house!!

sounds like thats whats happening and both my rs turbos have done it but i think all rs turbos do this
