Default fuel pump mounting help!!!!!!!!!

Hey guys, nearly got the bonus fully converted now, just waiting for new petrol tank to come and to get the fuel pump mounted. Now on the donor car there is a rotten cradle left, which the pump was literally just rattling around in.Now its so rotten and void of any rubber, im not totally sure how it would of been.So has anyone got any pics of it so that i can understand how it goes, and also has anyone got the cradle in good condition they wanna sell or know anyone who sells aftermarket mountings? cheers guys, hate it when little things hold you up at the last minute
cheers
Danny

Taken from another similar post I replied to:

Check out my underside I did, I fitted the AS autos replacement 3 peice cradle... but you still need to buy the spare wheel well plug and also the cradle that bolts to the chassis (that the plugs goes through) and as you say the three rubber mounts for the internal cradle to hold the pump. I can get you the finis codes for these parts if you require? (That is if they are still available, as when I got mine the bloke said they were becoming harder to get hold of)

You can see these parts mentioned on this page of my thread: https://passionford.com/forum/viewto...=asc&start=120

Could make your own cradle up out of sheet metal and flat rubber to grip the pump once tightened!

I find the whole pump mount arrangement in the rst a little bizzare. They are overly complicated, and a horrid dirt and water trap. On Manchester Mike's car, we used a small U bracket and then a couple of bolts through the wheel well mounted on rubber bushes and grommets. He's never had a problem with it

Rick I completely agree...most people's are fcuked anyway and just seem to be cabled ties together

The only reason I replaced mine was because of the underside, it really wasn't that bad but going the stainless route will stop it from corroding in future.
