just bought a big valve head would you put a standard cam in with a vernier or uprated ? seen a post about standard ones what do you reckon?

Well il let u know tomrw when i fit my STD cam lol see if its better than a piper t2 i have a stage 3 head too

 

if its a stage 3 head, id put a std cam in it

Ive got a kent cvh35 in at moment but its worn so got a std cam sitting here ready to go in but im to lazy to fit it....

 

Right i just fitted mine and the car comes on boost alot better now with my old set up full boost was around the 4.3k mark ..Now its as low as 3.5k mark,

The car is alot smoother. and revs right up to 6.5k which it didnt before..

So imo i did the right thing to change from a piper t2 to a std cam

 

cheers mate standard cam it is then, have you got a vernier on it and had it dialled in ?or just running standard pulley?

Not sure what difference it would make with a vernier? i do have one here tho?

 

it might be worth a try thats apparently how you get the best out of an uprated one so suppose it would work for a standard one aswell
