Yeah, why not?

I have had my new Clifford that replaced my old Clifford now for about a year and it has been good as gold and has LOADS of toys on it including Black Jax anti- hijack.

I know a couple of alarm fitters one of which is a Clifford agent and he always his friends against them as they are in his words "utter shit!". Another alarm fitter which I trust very much is also of similar opinion. The Clifford on the FRST will be binned at the next available oppertunity.

Some people love them and swear by them and never have a problem. If it's what you're into then go for it. The people I know that have had Cliffords have all had troubles. My old Cat 1 Cobra was in the car for seven years and was only replaced as I felt it was getting too long in the tooth and a newer replacement may be a good idea.

im an alarm fitter, i rip out more cliffords than i care to remember, the alarms themselves are ok, just the poor fitting that causes the problems.
personally dont like to fit clifford, would rather fit toad or sigma,
if u were closer i would fit u a cat 1 ai606 for Ł250 plus any extras u wanted?
fitted a clifford to my s2 5 yrs ago never had a problem with it and fitted 100's if not 1000's of toads they are great!
clifford = image
toad = practicality
personal opinion tho! everyone's entitled to one!

I'd agree with london chris, its not that clifford alarms are poor, it just depends on how they are installed. I guess its a case of the more gadgets/features you have the more chance it'll f'k up. We fit Laserline, been fitting these now myself for the past two year, never had any comebacks. These have a lifetime warranty, i'm sure that laserline is a breakaway company from toad which we used to use, but like i said we've found no problems with any of the laserline equipment.

my mate got a falcon alarm from ebay and it was utter rubbish. I have got an avantgaurd 5 on my escort and it is the bees knees but it had to be ripped out by clifford and reinstalled by them as it was fitted badly by the supplier (no names!). So if you get it fitted correctly they are superb in every way!

Our local muppet fitter from selby fitted my clifford in my lotus elise. It went off every time someone walked past the car!! Probably to do with the soft top roof. Wouldnt recommend them for convertables. Very annoying!

i have got mine on a convertible, works fine now that it has been installed correctly. I think directed electronics need to spend a bit of money training the dealers proper so that there are less problems and they could then get the respect they deserve cause theyare bloody good alarms when done right!
