XR3i head , perhaps silly question
Ok, here's what I'd like to know as I really don't have a clue
Is the cylinder head from an mk4 XR3i the same as an RS Turbo head?
I ask because I can buy a new head for my RS Turbo for a good price. But I have to be sure first if both heads are the same.
here are some pics of the head.

I could have sworn that only the S1 had reworked exhaust ports and sodium filled valves. Some first S2s might have had the sodium filled valves too, but generally these are not considered as of very good quality and often cause more trouble than what they are worth. I'd take that head any given day if the price is ok.

EFi heads are all the same. The MFi S2 rst head is the same as the MFi XR3i head. The S1 had the sodium valves, but that same port size and combustion camber shape as the 3i heads. HTH

It's a bit dear in my opinion especially as used CVH heads often are like new after cleaning unless the bearing surfaces or the lifter bores have been killed somehow.
