intercooler
quite a bit of messing about, charge carrier has to reversed, and i think the left hand inlet port on the intercooler has to be modified aswell,
they normally mount them quite high up in the grill, for all the time messing about might aswell get a pace half size, go straight in

You can get it to fit easy, no need for reverse charge pipe and can run pipe work will 2 lengths of silicone pipe and a straight length of stainless piping
Correct, one sid eof the intercooler ends need adjusting by one turn for the hose to fit
Can buy kits if you find one for £100 all in, cheap and easy to do and very efficient

dont suppose u have a price or contact do u?
and what do u mean by end tank???
sorry first turboed car lol
u know a fair bit do u think it would be worth my time fitting an oil cooler?
i have the chance of one for free from a mate but ive heard that it would maybe cool down my engine oil too much for the turbo to run properly

end tank as is one end of the intercooler needs to be twisted 90 degree to suit

James the pipework you are suggesting is fine on a S2 but will not fit on a S1, i know i tried to fit the 4x4 cooler that way. In the end i had to redesign the whole rad set-up to what you see on MJC's thread, took a little time getting everything right, but it was worth it in the long run.
So what you need to fit a 4x4 cosworth intercooler on a S1 is a smaller but wider rad mounted offset, end cans changed on 4x4 cooler with the dump valve take off filled ( no need to change one end if still using MFI), reverse charge carrier, two 8" fans, and some Samco Hoses, one of them being a reducer that you use to go from the turbo to intercooler( small end on turbo larger 53mm end to intercooler)
I am now making a different version to fit the S1, hopefully will be better than the 4x4 set-up, but its still in the very early stages as i havent even approached Wayne/Alex @pro Alloy about making me my one off intercooler, hope they can follow my cardboard design lol
I dont like the any version that is offered for the S1, nearly all the big intercoolers require cutting of the front panel to allow fitment. they also stick the fans in front the intercooler, blocking the air flow!
what i am working on at the moment is a rad intercooler setup that will use (hopefully) a 10" or 12" fan behind the rad, and a big deep intercooler at the front.
If anyone requires any info on where they can get the set-up like MJC and soon to be RSShawn
let me know and i will pass on the details
