Default compression question

I did a compression test on my zvh during the week and found that on each cylinder i got a reading of 10 after the third rotation of the engine .

i then did a wet test and the reading stayed the same.

Does this mean that i can rule out the piston rings beaing worn????

my car is smoking and burning loads of oil.

When i start the car in the morning there is a patch of oil spatters on the ground and if you put your hand over the exhaust for a few secs on idle there will be oil on your hand.

When acclelerating any bit there will be blue smoke, (not on back off but when you actually accelerate).

there is no unusuall amount of oil in the boost pipes or play in the shaft of the turbo.

and the valve seals are about 6 months old.

but i did find oil on the plug in cylinder 3 and all the rest are perfect.

any ideas?

when my rings were gone i use to get a misfire at idle but once i was over 2000rpm car seamed ok.The turbo was bringing compression up,but boost was blowing past the rings into the crank case Pressurizing the crank case so in turn blowing all my oil through the breather . compression for each of my cylinders 1-100psi 2-130 3-130 4-130 plus number one plug was black and the rest were ok. so it does look like you have the Symptoms of worn rings, but i cant understand how your compression for all four cylinders are the same .

is it possible that it could be a valve seal over the third cylinder letting oil onto the plug and blowing it out the exhaust.?

It does sound possible. what make were the valve seam seals you used? ,were they the uprated type that the valve spring holds in place? or the cheap crappy type that just push on as they dont last 5 mins

I recomend buying the haynes manual for the cvh engine, it gives good diagnosis to all engine noises oil loss etc etc It give loads of examples for pinpointing problems, it says comp test for wet and dry should be similar, worn bore/rings would bring compression up, leaking stem seals it would seem but your head might need overhaul as it could be worn valve guides aswell! goodluck
