can anyone with a xr3i or rs turbo who has ever had to swap the seatbelts give me a bit help, i got some seatbelts from the scrappy today to replace the ones in my car, got them home having tested them b4 taking them out the car and all were fine, got them home to fit and now they seem to be stuck and will not unwind, thought to start with it might be the thing that locks in event of sudden braking now i am not so sure, anyone got any ideas please, this is driving me up the wall and as soon as the seatbelts are fitted it can go for its mot!

I had the same problem with my old nova went back to the scrapper and he said just fit them and they'll work, not sure how seatbelts lock but you'll find that when you fit them to the car it should all work fine, its something to do with the angles, if your just holding the assembly in your hand it'll not be at the same angle as if its mounted on your car, try it.... it worked for me.....
