Sometime's my car when driving along the rev's jump up and down then it splutter's and backfire's,usually cut's out after this happen's too

Any idea's what it is?Mabey every 20-30miles it does this...?

i had a simaler problem on my serria and it was a sencer on the gear box (cant rember the name) hope this helps

Crankshaft sensor?

That sound's expensive and hard to fit.. Is it?

 

its not that bad but the one on my sierra was a c**t to get out there only a small sencer dont know if the rst is the same your have to ask some one else thats knows a bit more

ERST's don't have a crank sensor so it can't be broken......

@Stoo, sounds like it COULD be the hall sensor inside the dizzy! Try another dizzy to see if it is..........

mine has a right old back firing thing going on only does it now and then mind ( sounds like a proper rally slag) although my inlet manifold is blowing slightly gonna change it at the weekend.... might not be the same like but have a godd look round for any charcoal deposits ya never know...
